Every day now for a couple of months, this male coyote visits the backyard pond for a refreshing dip. The daily high temps have been between 100 and 109 degrees over that time, so I can appreciate his dedication to staying cool.

Thank you for sharing! The coyote really looks like he is enjoying the cool water. He has it all to himself. I have been thankful for the monsoon rains we have had the past few weeks, to include the one last night. May I ask what camera caught this video? Thanks again for sharing.

Yeah, he’s the only one with a pool pass apparently, haha. The cameras I use are the Reconyx XR6, though they no longer make them. My second choice is either Browning or GardePro. I have not used GardePro, but I follow a couple people that do, and they are happy with them and the videos look great. Browning’s are good too, though they sometimes simply fail for no logical reason.
